The degree programmes in Energy & Sustainability Management and Facility Management & Real Estate Management regularly organise fireside talks and specialist events, which are an obligatory part of the curriculum.

Companies, organisations, and researchers present current topics, challenges, and potential solutions (3 to 5 per semester, Thursdays starting at 18:00, 18:30 or 19:00, duration approx. 90 minutes - see invitation; held exclusively online).

2.2 International Week in Heerlen (NL) - FMI Bachelor Full-Time only ^ top 

An international group project on Facility Management & Workplace, one week in October on-site in Heerlen (NL).

2.3 WinterSchool - penultimate semester ^ top

Lectures and workshops on sustainability for all cohorts - except final-year students, 3 to 4 days in June on-site in Kufstein, afternoons.

4.1 Bachelor’s Thesis & Final Exam ^ top 

The Bachelor’s thesis is written alongside the studies over several months and begins with the choice of topic at the end of the fourth semester.

After the successful completion of all curricular requirements including the Bachelor’s thesis (180 ECTS), the final examination takes on particular importance: it consists of a discussion of the Bachelor’s thesis and a subsequent oral examination of selected study contents (with cross-references to the thesis topic), formally concluding the degree programme before an examination board.
